Chariot’s five-room psilocybin service center is located in Northwest Portland, Oregon. As one of the first licensed psilocybin service center in the Portland metro area, we’re honored to offer spaces for individuals and groups to work with this natural psychedelic compound. We engage with a network of Licensed Facilitators, and provide the space for your journey.
We offer a serene environment and convenient location -- centrally located in Portland, and just 15 minutes from Portland International Airport. We’re based in a converted craftsman home nestled in a cozy neighborhood with local restaurants, shops and ready access to nature -- just steps from expansive Forest Park trails. “Set and setting” are critical elements of a psilocybin journey, and our space is thoughtfully appointed for your comfort, ease and safety.
If you are traveling to Portland, there are many options for nearby lodging, including short term rentals and hotels within walking distance, or easily accessed through the city’s mass transit network.

Courtney is the founder of Chariot, a facilitator, and while he will miss Damian Lillard immensely, he’ll always be a fan. Courtney is a UCSB Gaucho with a graduate degree in international policy studies from the Middlebury Institute. His prior career was in documentary film production. Courtney has a personal history of depression, anxiety, substance misuse and recovery. He began his journey with psilocybin as an element of his own healing process several years ago, and has been a passionate advocate for sharing its profound impact ever since. He is honored to share the Chariot space with fellow facilitators and clients eager to experience the transformative power of psilocybin.

Mariah has been sitting with mushrooms and other plant medicines for over a decade. She holds reverence for the journey, deep trust in the client’s inner healing intelligence, and a peaceful presence for others in the room. Her approach is client-centered. What is most important to her is that the client feels like they are being supported in a way that feels authentic to them.
Mariah graduated with an interdisciplinary studies degree from the University of Hawaii in Community-Based Healthcare. She was lucky to study relevant coursework such as Advanced Ethnobotany, Mycology, Medical Anthropology, Organic Chemistry, and Psychoactive Drug Plants. She is data/research informed and also draws from her experience in ceremonial settings that she participated in while in Peru and Hawaii.
Mariah is also a mother who will bring nurturing care to your journey. She gives consideration to many aspects of safety (physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual) to support overall wellbeing. Mariah warmly embraces people from all walks of life, welcoming all into a space of acceptance. She is honored to co-create a space with clients so they may comfortably navigate the depths of their consciousness.

Kayli has a MA in Clinical Psychology and nearly fifteen years of experience, in a variety of professions, working with individuals to elevate their lives. While completing her psilocybin facilitation certification, she apprenticed in a ketamine clinic, although psilocybin remains the medicine with which she feels most aligned. Kayli intimately understands how this tool from nature can be used to assist us in removing blocks, allowing our light and insights to flow more freely. Kayli believes that we all have an innate capacity to heal. Working from a trauma-informed, mindfulness-based approach, she is deeply attuned to the mind-body connection. She has a warm, open, non-judgmental style and a unique capacity to hold space for those facing issues around self-worth, relationships, anxiety, depression, and intergenerational trauma. Her intentional and intuitive practice will guide you in your exploration as you work to break patterns, heal wounds, and move into alignment with your highest self.

Tracey is a mother, Clinical Herbalist, Cranial-Sacral Therapist, and experienced psychedelic facilitator of individuals and groups. Psilocybin was her first journey 34 years ago, inspiring her to explore more plant medicines. Journeying has allowed her to view psychological conditions from a non-pathologizing perspective. She understands complex trauma and the resulting nervous system dysregulation disorders. Tracey’s empathic & compassionate space-holding allows her clients to access their innate inner healer. She’s also teaching psilocybin facilitation at Changa Institute, specializing in client preparation, journey administration, and integration coaching.

Elana is a psychedelic facilitator with an academic background in psychology, philosophy, and neuroscience. Her journey into this work began with a deeply personal exploration of mental health, leading her to non-ordinary states of consciousness as a tool for transformation over a decade ago. She specializes in breathwork and somatic approaches to healing.
Elana’s facilitation is grounded in embodied liberation, intergenerational healing, and tuning into our intricate connections to the web of life. She believes that healing is not about “fixing,” but about creating space to reclaim our innate wholeness. As a queer woman and second-generation immigrant, she brings a deep awareness of cultural identity, ancestral influences, and systemic impact into her work.
In addition to her facilitation practice, Elana has been an educator at SoundMind Psychedelic Training and is completing advanced trainings in End of Life Care, Somatic Psychedelic Facilitation, and Somatic EMDR. Due to her business background, she also supports corporate and executive clients in integrating altered states into leadership, creativity, and personal growth.

Henry is a licensed psilocybin facilitator, shamanic practitioner and hypnotist. He is well versed in the philosophy of perennial wisdom which he uses to guide his clients through the process of awakening. He believes that everyone can learn to connect to their intuition. The main obstacle to doing so is the ego's pervasive creation of rigid thought patterns. Henry offers his clients a variety of tools to ignite this process: psilocybin journeys, psychedelic integration, breath work, hypnosis and intuitive counseling.

Kerry holds an MBA from University of Dayton and graduate certificate in sustainability from Bainbridge Graduate Institute. He has created, managed and sold several successful small businesses. Kerry has 32 years of experience with psychedelics, and 18 years of recovery from substance use disharmony. Over the past 15 years, he has had a daily meditation practice, studied somatic and Internal Family Systems therapies, and practiced outdoor adventure leadership.

Birdie is a Native American woman (Seminole-Creek, Otoe-Missouria, Pawnee) whose path weaves together over a decade of experience in yoga, subtle body healing, and spiritual practice. Based in Portland, Oregon, she is a Licensed Psilocybin Facilitator trained through Oregon’s Changa Institute, where she became part of the state’s first certified cohort.
Her work is rooted in a deep respect for the wisdom of plant medicines and the Indigenous traditions that have guided their use for generations. Birdie sees psilocybin as a sacred ally—one that helps us remember our connection to the Earth, our ancestors, and ourselves.
In both one-on-one and group settings, she holds space with great care, drawing on her background in yoga, meditation, and somatic practices. Her ceremonies are containers for healing that honor the full spectrum of the human experience—physical, emotional, spiritual, and ancestral.
Birdie believes healing is not a solitary path. Much like the unseen network of mycelium, our growth is intertwined. Through reverence, ritual, and relationship, she invites clients to return to their own inner knowing—guided by curiosity, synchronicity, and the subtle voice of spirit.

Cindy has worked as a psychotherapist and group facilitator for over 30 years and has had the privilege of accompanying many people on their journeys of self-discovery and healing. She assists people who are struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties and more. In addition to her therapy practice, Cindy has created and led many workshops and retreats facilitating personal growth through a variety of experiential explorations of the deep psyche. She is especially drawn to approaches that are holistic and include the mysterious language of the body and the unconscious, such as dreamwork, EMDR, expressive arts, and the visionary states of psychedelics. She has explored the depths of her own psyche through these practices which, along with mindfulness meditation, have helped her to cultivate presence, attunement, and an ability to trust the process. Cindy is continually amazed by the inner healing wisdom that can become available in these sacred journeys under the right conditions. She works with clients to create these conditions with compassion, humor, a warm welcoming presence, and deep respect.

Phyllis’ introduction to psychedelics came at a young age and opened her eyes and heart to a sense of the oneness, awe and beauty of the human spirit. This set the tone for the rest of her life, leading to an exploration of Indigenous ways of healing and spiritual realization. She has taught yoga and meditation at schools, studios, meditation retreats, hospitals, corporations, and addiction recovery centers, and shared Sacred Dance based on an ancient practice of Tara from the Tibetan Buddhism tradition. Her interest is in holding space for each person to uncover their own natural wisdom, compassion, creativity, and life force to fully grow into their potential in this life. Working with what gets in the way is also welcomed. Integration of these expanded states is the path we walk each day. Phyllis’ personal work and understanding of neuroscience, along with somatic embodiment practices, and the breakthrough modality of utilizing psychedelics, has enhanced her wish to truly effect healing in the people she works with. She listens to clients' needs and helps formulate intention, sits with you during your journey, and again connects afterwards for integration, offering resources to add to your own growth.

Sara is inspired by and grateful to the wisdom of the natural world and this continues to teach her how to hold the complexity and vastness of this human journey. She has extensive experience facilitating with psychedelic medicines and approaches this work with an open heart and humble mind that never ceases to be amazed by the inner wisdom of the clients she works with. She views work with psychedelics as just one of the many beautiful tools available for helping us remember our wholeness in the long story of our lives and loves helping clients find integration strategies that keep this inner wisdom alive. Her clients describe her as ""nurturing, grounded, and attuned to the needs of body, mind, and heart"" while maintaining a ""playful and curious spirit"". She emphasizes individualized and collaborative care and believes that safety and deep presence are foundational for healing.
In addition, she loves facilitating groups as well as providing education and safety for folks new to the psychedelic space. Finally, outside of her work as a Psilocybin Facilitator, her lens is influenced by her work in Naturopathic Medicine, Chinese Medicine, and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.

Dr. Olivia Hicks is a naturopathic physician, teacher, and psilocybin facilitator specializing in holistic mental health care using psychedelic assisted ketamine therapy and psilocybin facilitation. She is trained in Hakomi and somatic techniques.
If you were to use three words to describe her approach to psychedelic therapy, they would be: Gentleness, Clarity, Calm-Abiding Presence
She draws from a deep well of personal experience in psychedelic states, which allows her to create a container that is safe enough for you to do your most vulnerable work. She has experience working with those with complex health histories, are on multiple medications, or have a history of mental illness, OCD, substance use disorder, and trauma.

Evelyn is an experienced psychonaut who would be honored to be considered to help you on your journey. She has 25 years of experience with psychedelics and helping people navigate their expanded consciousness. She specializes in working with addiction, depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, CPTSD, PTSD from violent experiences, gender dysphoria, and nuerodiversity which are all things she has experienced treating in her own healing journey. She’s worked hard to overcome these experiences to build an authentic life filled with connection. Hopefully some of the knowledge she’s gained along the way can help you achieve your goals. She’s been trained in the treatment of trauma and abuse. She’s also gained knowledge from her degree in Social Sciences, her psilocybin training through the Changa Institute, work experience in mental health, running ceremonies for a retreat organization in Jamaica, her insatiable research, her own guides, teachers, indigenous leaders, and colleagues. As one of the first licensed facilitators in Oregon, she’s also been working within this new legal system consistently since its beginning. She uses all of this knowledge and experience to effectively prepare you to navigate your subconscious mind. She practices radical acceptance and provides a safe place to process emotions without judgement while creating an environment of warmth, nurture, and playfulness. Your unique and authentic self will be validated as the wonderful human you are. Erin Baldwin Draper, MSW, is a trauma-informed social worker, music lover, mystic, mom, and state-licensed psilocybin facilitator. Erin comes to this work with a deep reverence for nature and the sacred wisdom of plants, a natural curiosity for the mystical, and a safety-first scientific mind. With a background in counseling, group facilitation, research, and trauma-informed care, she brings practical therapeutic tools into her work while also holding space for the ineffable.
Erin began her career as a child and family therapist and medical social worker. After a traumatic birth experience with her first child, Erin found that the traditional healthcare system failed to adequately address her trauma and she turned to psychedelics. Her first psychedelic experience helped Erin reconnect back to herself after motherhood and catalyzed a passion for supporting others through plant medicine.
Erin considers herself a PsycheDoula in this field, supporting the rebirth of the mind, body, and spirit. She loves supporting folks new to psychedelics, especially those going through big life transitions. She believes motherhood can be one of the biggest life transitions of all and yet moms are often last to care for themselves. Erin continues to support moms outside of plant medicine work as a new moms’ support group facilitator and also loves working with parents of children with special healthcare needs.

MATTHEW HICKS

Dr. Matthew Hicks holds a doctorate in naturopathic medicine and a master of science in clinical research from the National University of Natural Medicine and a certificate in psychedelic-assisted therapy and research from the California Institute of Integral Studies. He is the founder and president of Synaptic Institute, a non-profit ketamine-assisted therapy clinic and entheogenic medicine training program. Currently a postdoctoral scholar conducting research in psychedelic therapy at NUNM and Oregon Health & Science University, he is a frequent speaker at conferences, public events, and CME courses and is a member of the Parapsychology Association and the Academy for the Advancement of Post-Materialist Science.
As a facilitator, Matthew draws from skills in Hakomi, a somatic and mindfulness-based counseling technique, Buddhist psychology, and a holistic perspective on wellness known as vitalism. All of this is used in the context of a client-oriented non-directive approach. Matthew is also an army veteran, father of two, athlete, and enjoys camping and travel.

Officially trained as a Facilitator in 2023, James’ relationship with psilocybin and her path to facilitation began over a decade ago, and has been laying roots ever since. James is passionate about the potential psilocybin has to reframe our narratives and our traumas, release what no longer serves us, and use that to fertilize our ever-expanding internal growth, compassion, and capacity for pleasure. Her personal healing journey has evolved with the support of psilocybin and it is her mission to support yours by cultivating safe, judgment-free spaces that nurture each step of your process with unconditional positive regard. James works through a counter-normative lens, welcoming and celebrating diversity in race, age, ability, gender, sex, sexual identity and relationship style (or absence of one), and all the ways in which these intersect. Sarah has over 25 years of experience with psychedelics and other modalities to reach altered states of consciousness. Her personal use of psychedelics, as a powerful tool to heal and expand, fuels her passion to hold space for others on their journeys. Sarah tailors each session to client needs and supports their in-depth preparation and integration. Her work is guided by the idea that we each have an inner healer. She brings empathy, humor, and the ability to hold a judgment-free, safe, and sacred space for her clients. In her former career, as a social scientist, she has had the opportunity to travel, study and participate in many cultural ceremonies. Sarah has worked at retreats abroad. She works to incorporate breathwork, movement, meditation, and sound baths when desired by clients. Sarah has studied the Eight-Fold Path of Yoga, taken the Ten Precepts of Soto Zen Buddhism, sat in central and southern-American sweat lodges and is deeply interested in the use of psychedelics for connection to oneself, each other, and the natural world. She is currently studying to become an ordained minister with a non-denominational entheogenic church, serves her community as an advisor to Plant Medicine Healing Alliance, and is a member of Oregon Health Authority's Strategic Planning Committee for the Psilocybin Program.

Gina is a seeker, a playful dancer, an embodied woman, and a poet. She is continuously moving toward her authentic Self and loves to engage others interested in this dance.
Gina has a master's degree in counseling for marriage and family therapy and has spent over a decade supporting individuals, couples, and families through the complexities of trauma, fractured relationships, and personal transformation. She specializes in psychedelic-assisted facilitation, deeply influenced by her work with individuals navigating trauma and eating disorders. Her experience has deepened through training with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies with MDMA for PTSD and the Polaris Insight Center for Ketamine. She has also served as Program Coordinator and Lead Educator at InnerTrek, nurturing future facilitators and expanding the scope of holistic healing practices. Gina is also engaged in psychedelic research at the Portland VA with the Social Neuroscience and Psychotherapy Lab as a research study therapist.
Gina was introduced to the field of psychedelics and altered states of consciousness when she was 20 years old at Burning Man. She credits festival culture for playing a large role in her career and continues to celebrate the scene. Gina has supported The Zendo Project and other sanctuary/ harm- reduction teams at festivals.
